Sefton Autism Support Hub
We are a support group for adults 17+ who are on The Autism Spectrum (ASD)
We were originally founded in 2016/17 however due to COVID we took a short break.
We are an independent group separate that is not run by the NHS or local council but we work closely with The Sefton/ Liverpool Asperger's Team (Mersey Care NHS Trust) they can refer service users to use or tell there service users about us and they will self refer themselves to our service.
.We ask organisations and charities to support us and help us! We have a few official partner's that's support us. We are always looking for Partners, supporters and funders! We are supported by the ex Mayor Cllr. Clare Carragher.
We aim to support our members with their Autism/ Asperger's We will run once's a month on a Tuesday afternoon.
We will have guest speakers in to talk about subjects you are interested in. We will work with CKP Photography to offer Film and photography Projects. We will be based in the Community Hub by Compassion Acts,
From January we will run once a month on 1st Tuesday of each month from 2pm till 4.30pm. Check our dates page to keep in the loop!
No referral Needed to attend our hubs, Just turn up, fill out an application form via our website or a paper version on your first visit! We have a joining fee/ subs as we are we are independently run. An origination can refer you to our service or you can self refer yourself.
We need the money to help us as we are not for profit group. The money goes back into the hub to buy equipment, supplies for the hub. We not about making profit and we are a voluntary run group/hub. Its about supporting our service users and doing things for them to get them independent to go out into the community/ the big outside world.
We do offer a referral system, if getting referred by one of our partners or supporters or a GP or hospital service. If you have been referred by one of Our Partners/ Supporters or your one of our partners referring a new service user please let us know!
Joining fee
From January 2024 it will be compulsory. to pay subs. It will be £1 a month or
£12 for the year. (Membership Card)
This will help us pay towards to the room hire & Refreshments due to the cost of the cost of living crisis. We are a small community organisation and rely on donations and funding to keep us going to be able to run our service.
